Family Services' Family Discovery Center needs child development center assistants. The FDC is located at 1010 Grandin Avenue in Rockville. Volunteers are needed to help Mondays-Thursdays for a morning shift from 9:30am-12:30pm or for an afternoon shift from 1:00-4:00pm. Volunteers can help once a week or more if available. Children are ages infant-4 years old.
Volunteers will engage children in age-appropriate games and activities, help with classroom transitions, assist in preparation of art projects, clean toys, and work with staff to create "homework" packets for the families. Volunteers should be dependable, creative and flexible, with an encouraging and positive attitude.
