Looking for Winter 2019 sports volunteer coaches, assistant coaches and other volunteers to assist with basketball.

Practices - Wednesday 6:15pm - 6:45pm January 6th through March 16th.


Who Can Become a Volunteer?

Our volunteer base includes students, senior citizens, business groups, professional individuals, civic organizations, families, amateur and professional athletes, and coaches to name a few. In other words, ANYONE CAN GET INVOLVED!

There is no experience required; however, you must be at least 15 years of age, unless accompanied by an adult.

Mission Statement

The mission of North Suburban Special Olympics(NSSO) is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

Description

NSSO is a local agency of Special Olympics Wisconsin. Athletes involved are from the northern suburbs of Milwaukee county and southern Ozaukee county.

We are now looking for volunteers to assist with Winter sports of Team Basketball and Basketball Skills. Basketball practice is held at the Milwaukee Safety Academy on Monday and Wednesday 6:30 - 8 pm. Basketball Skills are on Monday 6:15pm - 6:45pm.
