This is a hands-on event, with interactions with our homeless neighbors. We will set up backpacks with scarves and hoodies, and also set up the entire distribution area. There will then be one-on-one distributions as you help the guests go through choosing their backpacks, and hoodies. Children are welcome as long as they are accompanied by a parent and are not left unattended. Teens 16 and older are welcome to volunteer independently. Volunteers who took part last year had their lives changed...hope you will say the same this year!

Mission Statement
BACK@YOU was created to help open people’s eyes to those that so many of us walk blindly by each day. The homeless are not invisible, and we should not act as if they don’t exist. We all deserve to be treated with dignity and kindness. None of us is less of a person for not having a home. With those principles as our guide, we simply fill backpacks with some essential supplies and basic comforts to share with our homeless neighbors, and our volunteers distribute these backpacks. We make each of our backpacks to show its recipient that someone cares. They may be small gestures in the grand scheme of things, but they are filled with love.
