Friends of the Foster City Library (FoFCL) seek to recruit several volunteers to join the FoFCL Board. Being a part of the FoFCL Board provides a unique opportunity to help with fundraising and other administrative tasks that support the Foster City Library in its mission: "To ignite growth through transformative experience".

Duties include, but are not necessarily limited to: the maintenance of corporate record; the recording and distribution of minutes; attendance at monthly meetings (4th Tuesday of the month, 6:00 pm; currently virtual but typically in person); assistance with events and meeting preparation; contribution to strategy and execution of tasks via marketing, fundraising, project management website development or other professional skills.

Must be able to write and communicate effectively, be computer literate, and work in a team environment. FoFCL mostly raises money through book sales to fund programs at our community library. Board roles require a minimum of a one year commitment.

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in libraries and community building. Being a part of the Friends of the Foster City Library can be an excellent experience to build your personal resume. We are open to your suggestions for ways to assist.
