Horse leaders handle a horse during a lesson, including getting them groomed, tacked and warmed up prior to the lesson and they assist the rider in controlling the horse. You will start out with us as a sidewalker, but may attend horse leader training after a minimum of one month.
Must be at least 14 years of age and able an able to walk for 40 minutes and jog for short distances.

Faith Equestrian Therapeutic Center's (FETC) mission is to offer equine-assisted therapeutic and educational activities (EAAT) to help improve physical, behavioral, cognitive and emotional functioning in individuals with disabilities in a family-friendly recreational and educational environment. FETC offers its program to people with disabilities regardless of race, creed or financial need.
Description
We are a member of PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) Intl.
We provide riding lessons and other assisted activities for the physically and mentally challenged.
We are very volunteer intensive. We are always looking for volunteers in the following areas: horse leaders, side walkers, stall/barn cleaning, event volunteers for summer camp and future events, grounds/maintenance, groups looking to do a project.
