Gold Country Wildlife Rescue takes in over 3500 wild animals in need each year. From injury (or infancy) to release, our volunteers make the difference. For students, or anyone wanting to become a wildlife hero, this opportunity will provide a flexible environment while giving individuals a unique and valuable experience. Every species from Hummingbirds to Coyotes enter through our Wildlife Intake Center doors and there first point of contact will be our Front Desk attendants. These volunteers are able to learn about these wild animals and educate others more than any other position. These position is also less physically demanding and will allow the most adaptable physical requirements.

Along with learning interesting natural histories of the thousands of animals in care, these volunteers will gain customer service, education, and administrative skills.

Description

Gold Country Wildlife Rescue is a group of committed volunteers dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife. Our trained volunteer rehabilitators are licensed by California Department of Fish & Game to care for and release native wildlife. Each year our group provides care for hundreds of birds and mammals. We depend on memberships, donations, fundraisers, and volunteers to continue our work.
