Dear Potential Volunteer,

Thrive Together is a collaborative of churches, non-profits, businesses, agencies, individuals and participants that strive to eradicate poverty. As a faith-based group, we focus on empowerment, community and hope for positive personal change and to impact the barriers of poverty. Individuals that have experience with being a mentor and feel that they can be helpful to someone in poverty would be an example of the kind of individuals we are looking for.

Our goal is to provide a safe place that allows individuals in poverty to flourish while equipping them with the necessary tools to escape poverty. As a volunteer you will provide your skills and knowledge towards a family in need. Our services are at no charge to the community. Weekly meetings are on Tuesday nights from 5:45-8:00 pm. If you have at least 2 hours available a week and you feel God calling you to volunteer, please contact us asap.

Mission Statement

To equip, encourage, and empower people to end poverty in their lives and their communities.

Description

Thrive Together is a collaboration of local churches, non-profits, agencies, businesses, participants, and volunteers united to end poverty through empowerment, community, and hope. We work with individuals in poverty. Individuals in poverty and middle class individuals are encouraged to build relationships and set goals together through support and mutual respect for one another. Together volunteers and participants experience personal growth with a clearer understanding of the impacts poverty has on our community.

Thrive Together is designed to assist families in creating their own personal paths out of poverty while expanding opportunities, making connections, and eliminating barriers in the community that make it difficult for families to thrive. Our process is collaborative; we believe everyone has unique strengths to offer to the group when it comes to improving our own families and community as a whole.
