We're picking up excess bread and pastries from a great Gramercy Park coffee shop and delivering it to the nearby Moravian Open Door, a transitional housing facility located at 347 E 18th St. Join us for this super quick event, which will last just 15 minutes.

This event is every day of the week, so pick as many or as little days as you'd like for a great cause!

The average pick up at this event is 10-20 pounds.

The mission of RLC is to redistribute excess food to feed people experiencing food insecurity.

Description

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) is a nonprofit organization committed to fighting food insecurity and preventing wasted food. We have cultivated a network of dedicated food rescuers who bring food directly from our food donors to nonprofit recipients, letting neighbors help neighbors while reaping the environmental and economic benefits of reducing wasted food. Founded in 2013, our simple, but elegant model has saved over 8 million pounds of food since our inception.
