ORGANIZATION: Harvesters - The Community Food Network

Join the dedicated team at Harvesters as a Front Desk Support Volunteer. This volunteer is critical to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. The volunteer in this role will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service, handling inquiries, and facilitating communication within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome visitors, volunteers, and clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer general inquiries from visitors and direct them to the appropriate staff or resources.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, answering phone calls and managing deliveries.
- Other tasks as needed.

Commitment:

This position requires a regular volunteer commitment one or two days per week for 2-4 hours per shift. We offer flexible scheduling.

Desired Skills:

- A commitment to the mission of Harvesters.
- Flexible and dependable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to interact with diverse groups of people.
- Basic knowledge of computer skills for data entry and email communication.
- Previous customer service or front desk experience is a plus but not required.

Training/Support:

New Front Desk volunteers will receive training on how to operate the front desk. We will also have staff available to the volunteer for questions and assistance during their shifts.
