Teach a Skill
CEPD helps a disabled be self employed

Most people with disabilities in Ghana have little or no educational background due to the country's lack of adequate provision for persons with disabilities. Many of them resort to begging in order to live. Some persons with disabilities do not send their children to school because they need the children's help when begging e.g. the blind and lame. In addition, myths around hiring persons with disabilities has made it difficult for persons with disabilities to gain employment.

Centre for persons with Disabilities want to train persons with disabilities (pwds) to be able to either acquire a job or to be self employed. Volunteers are needed to teach pwds basic computer skills, cottage industries such as soap making, sewing etc and CNC Engineering among others.

If you've a passion for others, have a skill or hobby that can be turned into an occupation, then this position is for you.

Thank you very much!
