We are a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue who places dogs that are homeless with adopters in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Our goal is to find the perfect forever home for each dog, and one of the steps in our process is reference checks.
We are looking for someone who has daytime availability to make phone calls and send e-mails to potential adopters veterinarians as well as personal references to see if they will be a good fit for our dogs.
This position will require about 2-3 hours of work per week, depending on the number of applications received. It is important that when an application is sent to the rescue that the references are processed quickly, ideally within 24-48 hours. Some daytime calls will need to be made to veterinarians offices, though a full-time working person with a lunch hour would be completely acceptable.
Volunteering in this role has a great affect on the dogs in our care as this is the first step to finding them a great match!
