Providing comfort, care and meaning at the end-of-life.

Have you served in any branch of the Armed Forces? Do you wish to connect with and spend time with Veterans who have served before you?

Provide comfort and companionship to Veterans in hospice. Our Vets to Vets program is designed to pair Veteran Service men and women with hospice patients who have identified as Veterans. Once paired with hospice patients identified as Veterans, Veteran Volunteers have the unique ability to relate and connect with Veteran patients and their families in a way 'Civilian' volunteers cannot. We may also ask you to assist with our pinning ceremony: presenting a commemorative pin and certificate to the Veteran and his or her family, thanking him or her for their service.

For more information, call 920-674-6255 and ask for Volunteer Services. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Rainbow Hospice Care!

About Rainbow Hospice Care Inc

Location:

147 W ROCKWELL ST, JEFFERSON, WI 53549, US

Mission Statement

Providing comfort, care, and meaning at the end of life.

Description

Rainbow Hospice Care was founded in 1990 by a group of volunteers in the Jefferson County area. In 1995 we cared for 40 patients the whole year, and today we care for 95 patients on a daily basis. In March of 2011 we opened our Inpatient Center located in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. We are a community based non-profit organization that serves patients with any type of life-limiting illness such as cancer; heart, lung, and liver diseases; stroke; Parkinson's disease; Alzheimer's; ALS; or AIDS, generally with a life expectancy of less than six months. Regardless of age, race, gender, faith, ethnicity, insurance coverage, or economic status, we treat all of our paitents and their loved ones with the same respect, kindness, and concern-focusing on quality of life, maintaining comfort and dignity and providing expert support tailored to each individual's unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and wishes.
