The Deanna Marie Palestra Humane Education Program at the Humane Society of Pinellas is seeking individuals interested in facilitating after school programs in Pinellas County.
The after school programs take place at 8 different locations around Pinellas County. The program would last roughly one hour and time commitment is once per week. Typically there are 25 students per program grades K-5.
The Deanna Marie Palestra Humane Education Program is specifically interested in recruiting volunteers who have animals suited for children's programs. Volunteers for this position would be asked to bring their pet to their assigned weekly after school program.
Experience and interest in curriculum development a plus but not necessary!
