Make a difference in a Baltimore kid's life! Northstar Baltimore in cooperation with several southeast Baltimore schools in the Highlandtown and Greektown neighborhoods has an ongoing tutoring/mentoring program for elementary and middle school students. Volunteers meet with their students at sessions each week on Tuesdays and Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7:30.

The Martin Pollak Project and Northstar Baltimore work to improve the lives and well being of Baltimore's young people by foundling on community building and positive outcomes and using proven models for success we working to bridge the divide to give every Baltimore Child the opportunities they deserve.
Northstar Baltimore is a free one on one tutoring and mentoring program available to students in grades K-8. Volunteers are matched with a student who they tutor once per week after school for 90 minutes. After six initial tutoring sessions the mentoring component is added in, and pairs will meet once per month. Group activities among mentor pairs are encouraged and often facilitated.
