Unique Residential Care Center's (URCC) THRIVE internship program offers college students and recent graduates the chance to gain valuable work experience in one of the District's long term management firms. Through real life experiences and on-the-job training, interns will be able to enhance and learn new skills suitable in the long term care and post-acute space, a segment of health care that is changing right before our very eyes.
URCC seeks Operations Interns to assist and support with the following:
- Maintenance of social media accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn, website, etc.)
- Recreational staff in resident events and activities
- The kitchen with dietary and food services
- Media and video marketing activities
- The Quality Assurance Director with conducting resident assessments and follow up
- Other department projects/activities as needed
Ideal candidates will have:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under strict timelines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Self-driven, motivated and eager to make a change
- Knack for innovation and logistics/details
- A background in health care, business administration, communications, public relations, marketing or related field is required
- Strong computer skills (i.e. MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
