Job Title: Shop Clerk
Location: Daly City
Description: 'Pats Closet' Volunteers are needed to sort, clean, and display gently used clothing and small household items (dishes, linens, kitchen appliances, etc.). Clients pre-register to "shop" for what they need and visit Pats by appointment. Volunteers assist clients in finding what they need for their family and their home. Items selected are recorded on shopping lists and subsequently turned in to the Community Service Center at the end of the volunteer shift.
Qualifications/Skills: Courteous, confidential client, customer service, ability to lift 20-40 pounds, ability to climb one flight of stairs - Pats' Closet is NOT ADA accessible, clerical skills, record keeping, ability to speak Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, or Tagalog a plus. Ability to transport goods in personal car a plus, but not mandatory.
Applicants must go through an interview process, submit references, and pass a criminal background check prior to assignment.
Time Commitment: Minimum 3 hours/week; Consistent weekly commitment on the same day each week.
Public Transportation is located 1 block away.
Training/Benefits: Training in office, then on the job training during first 2 weeks.
