The Friends of Arlington Animal Services (FAAS) is always in need of trappers for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) projects throughout Arlington, TX. If you are experienced, have only a small amount or even no experience, we can help you develop and learn.

By volunteering with us, you will gain the satisfaction that you are doing something for your community and helping stray/community cats. TNR provides population control, helps to reduce the potential suffering of more cat colonies in our communities.

Come help us expand our TNR army!!

Please email us and, let us know your knowledge of TNR and why you want to volunteer with us.

About Friends of Arlington Animal Services

Location:

Mission Statement

FAAS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed to assist the shelter in developing ideas and programs to help decrease the euthanasia rate and increase the adoption/rescue rate of Arlington's homeless animals. We help educate the public and making them aware of the shelters’ needs.

Description

FAAS is focused on increasing the Arlington Animal Services (AAS) city shelter "live release rate" - the total number of animals that leave the shelter alive, either through adoption or transfer to one of the animal rescue groups and humane organizations that routinely take those animals from AAS that were not adopted or death-row dogs and cats into their own adoption programs. Many of our members are involved in rescue organizations, so we promote those animals that find themselves in danger of being euthanized as well as our own fosters saved from our TNR efforts within the city we foster and adopt out. In addition, FAAS members help on-site at the shelter with daily tasks, photographing animals and arranging transport for animals in need. These are just a few of the ways in which we help the shelter help our animals. We are all committed to increasing the number of adopted animals, decreasing the euthanasia rates, educating the public on responsible pet ownership and TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return). "Never underestimate the power of a small group of committed people to change the world"
