NKF

Currently 30 million (1 in 7) have kidney disease and only about 10% are diagnosed. The National Kidney Foundation hosts a KEEP Healthy screening which is a free screening for the general public to see if they are at risk of kidney disease.

All KEEP Healthy participants will answer a brief health-risk survey and have their height, weight and blood pressure measured. At-risk individuals will have their kidney health checked through a simple, onsite, ACR urine test. The ACR test can identify protein in the urine, which is often the first sign of kidney disease. Free educational materials will be provided and a medical professional will review results and answer questions from participants.

We are looking for volunteers who can help in the following areas:
- registration & check out (individuals who will help with checking people and verifying paperwork
before participants leave)
- risk surveys (to help people fill out paper work about family history)
- BMI (individuals who will do height and weight)
- blood pressure (individuals who are able to do blood pressure checks)
- Clinicians (RN or higher to talk about results)
- general volunteers to help direct people

If you are interested please contact us, all volunteers will have the opportunity to go through the screening as well.
