Help us keep library toys safe for our littlest customers! The Toy Sanitization Volunteer collects used toys from the discovery table in the children’s area of the library, sanitizes them using the Cleaning and Sanitizing Toys procedure, and puts clean toys out for use, ensuring that the Library’s assets are properly cared for and that our toys and discovery table are properly sanitized for use by our customers. Volunteer may also make judgments about removing broken or worn toys from use, and communicating if items should be replaced.
- Ability to bend to collect toys and clean table
- Ability to mix a bleach and water solution, and accept that skin or clothing contact with the solution may occur
- Ability to carry a small load of toys to and from the discovery table in the library and the staff kitchen
Work Hours: 1 hour assigned shifts, Monday-Saturday during open hours, may be combined with other duties for a longer shift if desired
