Strong knowledge of tax laws and issues including income, property, gift and federal tax. Ability to evaluate, assess, research and analyze complicated tax issues. Willingness and ability to make financial recommendations. Work with Executive Committee in an advisory capacity. Work with the agency Director on the creation and oversight of annual budget. Lead and recruit members to establish a strong Board Finance Committee.
My Place Center for Wellness provides a warm, safe, and caring environment where adults at any stage in their mental health recovery can engage in casual social and recreational activities with other adults. It is an independent member-driven organization where people can have the opportunity to learn about themselves and others and work on their self-directed recovery with the support and professional training from My Place staff.

What is My Place - Center for Wellness?
The philosophy behind peer-run organizations ("peer-run" meaning that the program is entirely staffed by persons with a mental health diagnosis) is that by working together and sharing experiences Members have had in the community, Members are able to help each other. The fear of the mental health professional is taken away at a peer-run organization, because everyone has been through similar experiences,
My Place- Center for Wellness is a non-profit organization that provides a safe, supportive and normalizing environment for individuals labeled "mentally ill" in the community. Especially those who are isolated in society, rejecting participation in traditional mental health programs, and to whom even sheltered employment settings are not meeting their needs. My Place- Center for Wellness offers an atmosphere of acceptance where individuals feel needed and grow in self-worth, dignity and self-respect.
