Making a difference in the lives of others


Traditionally, volunteers have been the backbone of the hospice movement. Volunteers are an indispensable part of any hospice program. Volunteers have many opportunities to assist our patients and their families including the following: Direct Care: Make social visits in the home setting to provide support and companionship. Administrative: Assist with clerical and operational task in the office setting. Bereavement: provide support to the bereaved for a period of 13 months following the death of on of our patients. Professional: Meet the needs of our home bound patients by providing professional services including therapeutic massage, essential oil therapy, acupuncture, acupressure, skilled nursing, cosmetology services, counseling and other professional tasks. Event and Special Occasion: Assist with community support and special events/occasions (manning booths, making cards, crafts, sewing, baking, etc.). Eleventh Hour: sit with patients and provide a presence and support during the final hours of a patients life.
