DATES: December 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th
January 2nd and 3rd
Volunteers are needed to lift and remove furniture (sofas, chairs, artwork, dressers, etc.) from each room and transport them to the elevator and load them onto the truck/into a trailer; to man and operate the elevator to ensure that there is a smooth flow allowing furniture to be loaded. On one of the dates listed above, there may be a need for volunteers to assist at one of the Habitat ReStores with unloading furniture from the trucks and offloading them onto trailers or into storage areas.
Each day will be from 9:00am-4:00pm (may finish earlier on some days depending on number of volunteers present). You can sign up for any number of days.

Description
Habitat for Humanity South Hampton Roads utilizes the power of volunteers to build affordable homes in our community and provide support in our ReStores. We serve all seven geographical entities that comprise South Hampton Roads: Chesapeake, Isle of Wight, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Smithfield, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach. Together with the help of volunteers, we have built over 200 homes throughout the area.
