Make someone's last moments their best moments by becoming a Hospice Volunteer!
Brighton Hospice is currently looking for volunteers in the Faribault area to spend some time with our patients and families. Some of the activities a volunteer may participate in include, but are not limited to: being a comforting and supportive presence, holding a hand, baking treats, listening to cherished memories, giving a hug, being a shoulder to lean on, touching a heart, reminiscing with patients, playing board or card games, running errands or light housekeeping, allowing time for caregivers to take care of themselves, playing music or singing, writing notes or memories for the patient, reading aloud, listening to patient's concerns, communicating needs of the patient/family to hospice staff and so much more!

The goal of hospice care is to improve the quality of a patient’s last months by offering comfort, dignity and care in a familiar setting, whether that be in the patient’s own home, assisted living, or skilled nursing facility. Brighton Hospice recognizes that the dying process is a part of the normal process of living and focuses on enhancing the quality of remaining life. Our team is made up of our Medical Director, Director of Nursing, nurse case managers, hospice aides, social worker, chaplain, a dietitian, volunteers, and a stellar support team. We are able to provide many levels of care for hospice, including: Routine Home Care, General Inpatient Care, Respite Care, and Continuous Care. Brighton Hospice will provide you and your family with the quality care you deserve.
