Arts & Scraps often depends on volunteers to help support and carry out various activities. The addition of expert assistance in executing these services is encouraged, and always valued. Arts & Scraps is proud to operate several types of committees. For each committee we are looking for enthusiastic, member-driven individuals who generate new ideas and are passionate about Arts & Scraps' mission. Let's find out what we can do together!
Position Summary: Otherwise known as "Arts & Scraps Alumni," the focus of this volunteer committee is to research donors (materials) and how each makes a difference, and to create a community around Arts & Scraps. This committee will be a very passionate group that will help build our story and create an impact. Meetings will be held once to twice a month.
Meeting Location: 16135 Harper Ave, Detroit MI 48224.

Mission Statement
For over 30 years, Arts & Scraps has reimagined recycled materials to inspire people of all ages to think, create and learn.
Description
Arts & Scraps is open to the public to stuff bags with safe, accessible recycled industrial materials. We also host educational and curriculum-based field trips, on site workshops for children and adults and create art and curriculum kits for 10 to 35 students. We bring activity tables to events throughout the Metro Detroit Area. Our warehouse uses volunteers of all abilities to sort, pack and prepare materials for our programs and learning kits.
