At the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, we celebrate our community's diversity through the arts and showcase the talents of regional artists. Our 77,000 square foot facility offers performance, exhibition spaces and event spaces for rent. Designed for adults and children alike, the Arts Center offers a place for the celebration and creation of ideas including: dance, theater, studio art, music, opera, and poetry.
The Fort Worth Community Arts Center is home to seven affordable and accessible galleries that display new exhibitions from various local artists and art organizations every month.
We are in need of volunteer art gallery assistants to help us set up our exhibitions. Volunteers will be working closely with our program and exhibition manager to install new works, prepare for exhibitions, and set up for gallery receptions. Volunteer art gallery assistants will be handling various kinds of artwork and working with installation hardware.
This position is usually needed at the beginning and end of each month. Our gallery receptions are typically on the first Friday of each month. While previous installation experience is helpful, it is not necessary to volunteer.
This is a wonderful opportunity to anyone interested in art to engage directly with our diverse and interesting visual arts community.
If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Kim Phan Nguyen by calling (817) 298-3024 or emailing knguyen@artscouncilfw.org.
