It isn’t always known the number of resources available to those who are homeless or facing homelessness. Furthermore, the information is rarely ever in one location, or on one pamphlet. This presents a problem because in addition to trying to address finding a place to stay, families are turned around trying to find the resources available to them or identifying what resources they qualify for.

Mission Statement

Akhawaty Incorporated's primary mission is to provide support, security, and stability to families who are homeless or facing homelessness. To that end, we have a variety of ongoing projects that are geared to providing support to this population.

Description

Akhawaty Incorporated is operated by volunteers. It started when a group a friends were asked to help provide safe shelter for a lady and her children from an abusive relationship. Realizing that there many other women in the same situation, we decided to organize to help and to bring about change. Since then Akhawaty Incorporated has organized various activities to help those who are homeless.
