ORGANIZATION: American Heart Association - Puget Sound

AHA LIW

The American Heart Association is looking for two volunteers to help host a booth at The Four Directions Conference. Volunteers are responsible for setting up the booth and passing out information to event attendees. Volunteers are expected to be available for the duration of the event and pack up all materials at the end of the day. This is a great opportunity for health care workers, nursing students or anyone passionate about educating our community on healthy living.

The Four Directions Conference, now in its ninth year, has always had a Health Awareness focus. This conference provides quality training workshops for treatment professionals, behavioral health directors, counselors, education and prevention specialists, and families to support each other with knowledge on health issues, problem gambling and other addictions, and financial and safety concerns that affect all of our communities. Their goal is to honor the past and protect the future through holistic health, wellness, and recovery support. ECPG partners each year with many Tribal organizations. This year, the Nisqually Indian Tribe and Nisqually Behavioral Health are the lead partners for Four Directions..

The 2017 Four Directions Conference will be held at the Great Wolf Lodge. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for 2 volunteers.
