Safe Places is looking for a volunteer who would be comfortable meeting with one of our clients at Kingstowne Library to assist her with LSAT preparation. She has taken a prep course and is doing well in most sections, but requires extra assistance for the logical reasoning section of the exam. This opportunity would be once a week (or more if availability allows) for at least one hour until early December. The client is available while her children are in school, Monday-Friday before 4pm (there may be flexibility beyond this schedule). Description
We provide 24-month transitional housing to families who are homeless as a result of domestic violence. We empower survivors of domestic violence through :
- Strength-based case management
- Individual financial counseling
- The goal of self-sufficiency
- Affordable housing search assistance
- Referrals for services such as abuse counseling, legal aid, and immigration
