Community Partnership for Children
Would you like to positively impact the life of a teenager in foster care? Do you have just a little extra time in your weekly schedule? Community Partnership for Children is the contracted provider for foster care and dependency services in Volusia, Flagler, and Putnam counties. Our volunteer program trains, then matches, qualified mentors to teenage youth placed in foster or group homes.
Requirements: We ask that our mentors commit to working with their matched youth for at least one hour per week for a minimum of three months. Volunteer mentors attend a face-to-face orientation, participate in drug/background screening, complete three online DCF trainings, and one final face-to-face mentor training, all of which is no cost to the mentor. Mentors must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current car insurance with 100,000/300,000 Bodily Injury Liability Coverage.
Please contact Sarah St. Gelais, Mentor Services Coordinator, at (386) 254-3905 or sarah.stgelais@cbcvf.org , for more information or to schedule to attend an orientation.

The Mission of Community Partnership for Children is to design, implement, and manage a quality child protection system for the citizens of Volusia, Flagler, and Putnam Counties. We lead a collaborative network of dedicated staff, service providers, community partners, and volunteers to strengthen families, support caring relatives and foster parents, connect children with loving and permanent homes, and prepare adolescents for adulthood.
Since 2001, Community Partnership for Children has been helping children and families in Volusia, Flagler, and Putnam Counties. We provide comprehensive child welfare services for children who have experienced neglect, abuse, or abandonment and who have come to the attention of the Department of Children and Families.
Our agency is supported by a strong community-based network to provide families with the solutions and resources they need in: Case Management and Family Support, Foster Care, Adoption, Mentoring, and Independent Living Services.
We'll work with your schedule.
