These volunteers work side-by-side with staff, assisting with all of the day-to-day operations at the Wildlife Intake Center. Volunteers will learn to feed and care for a large variety of species of many different ages, as well as get a first-hand look at wildlife rehabilitation--from infancy (or injury) to release! Some of these animals will include four different Squirrel species, dozens of different wild bird species, and various reptiles from the surrounding areas.
Individuals considering a career in Wildlife Rehabilitation, Zoo Keeping, and Veterinarian Medicine will thrive in this role. However, anyone looking for a meaningful and informative volunteer position will love learning about the natural histories of these amazing wild creatures.
