We’re looking for volunteers with marketing communication skills to assist our staff in creating collateral to promote our historic house, barn and carriage house. Experience with Canva or similar tools will be helpul.
Inspired by the Forbes family legacy of entrepreneurship, social action and philanthropy, the Forbes House Museum fosters discourse around civic engagement and cultural awareness. Built in 1833 as the home of Margaret Perkins Forbes and her family, the museum includes Chinese export art, Civil War artifacts and Lincoln memorabilia among its collections.

Description
Our organization supports the museum’s mission and activities that address community needs and interests, while responsibly representing the Forbes family history and extending its legacy of entrepreneurship, social action and philanthropy. Built in 1833, the Forbes House Museum includes Chinese export art, Civil War artifacts and Lincoln memorabilia among its collections. The Greek Revival home has been a house museum since 1964 and a National Historic Landmark since 1966.
