ORGANIZATION: YMCA of Greater Kansas City

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

After piloting a meal and tutoring program last spring, the Providence YMCA volunteers are looking to start up an afterschool tutoring program this school year.
The tutoring program is open to all community students, 6th-12th grade, one evening a week. Students that attend the tutoring session will be given a free meal while they are engaged in the program.
Volunteer tutors are needed in a variety of subject competencies as well to help with serving the students a warm meal. Volunteers in this position will also act as role models and serve as mentors for the students in the program.

We are looking to start this opportunity in the next month and we can pick a night of the week that works around tutors availability.
