We are looking for volunteers in the Lake County and Upper Cook County area who are interested in visiting patients at their residency. Their residency can be at a private residency, nursing home, assisted living or senior living community. We are looking for volunteers who can provide the following type of care but not limited:
- Pet Therapy (Animal must be certified)
- Hand message (certification is required)
- Companionship
- Activities such as watching television, playing a card/board game, arts and crafts, etc.
- Provide friendly and supportive visits
- Make bereavement calls to the patient's family
- Administrative/Clerical work

Description
We provide healthcare at home; specializing in, pain management, care at end of life, companionship, and much more. Specifically, we are a Hospice and Palliative Care organization within the Chicago metropolitan area. Unlike other hospices, we provide special programs that have been proven to greatly enhance the quality of an individual's life including aroma therapy and hand massage. To name a few services that we provide: therapy/emotional support, volunteer coordination, and reviewing/assessing medications. We consist of a large group of clinicians: including Doctors, Nurses, Social Workers, Chaplains, CNAs, and Music Therapists, etc.
