Firstly, here is a little bit about our organization, Back on My Feet:
Operating in 12 major cities coast-to-coast, Back on My Feet uses running and community to motivate and support individuals every step of the way from homelessness to independence. Our success is measured not only by the health impact of miles run, but also by how many individuals obtain education, employment and housing.
We are in need of as many volunteers as possible to participate alongside our program members at a cheer zone during the Atlanta 10 Miler on October 22 nd. The volunteer opportunity will be from 6:30 am until the end of the race, around 10:00 am. Our cheer zone will have a theme-Ghostbusters! This is a competition, so the more excited, loud, and into our Ghostbusters theme our volunteers are, the better chance we have of winning the cheer zone competition and the associated grant for operational costs to better serve our program’s population (people experiencing homelessness). This is going to be a VERY fun event, so come ready to have a good time, dance, and meet new people! Please contact me, Jayme ( jayme.hogan-yarbro@backonmyfeet.org) with interest in this volunteer opportunity.
Thank you so much!

Mission Statement
Back on My Feet (BoMF) is a national, for-purpose 501(c)3 organization that uses running to help those experiencing homelessness change the way they see themselves so they can make real change that results in employment and independent living.
The organization’s mission is not to create runners within the homeless population, but to use running to create self-sufficiency in the lives of those experiencing homelessness. The program’s success is measured by how many Members achieve independence through employment and housing.
Description
Through dedication and hard work, Residential Members (those experiencing homelessness) earn the opportunity to create a new road for themselves. Running leads to personal transformation and dedication to the program leads to access to training, employment and housing resources. Through community and corporate support, the program strives to change the perception of homelessness.
