A Red Circle was founded to promote racial equity within north St. Louis County. Our mission statement is the holistic betterment of our community; reversing the effects of racism one person and a cause at a time. Racial inequity harms entire communities and creates a need for policy change. A Red Circle is seeking a policy intern to perform research on issues regarding the cost of inequity in north St. Louis County, public education funding and discipline and food deserts. The intern, if available, will attend County Council meetings in Clayton, Missouri, and would attend legislative sessions in Jefferson City, to learn about issues involving racial equity and nutrition. Finally, the policy intern would follow federal bills regarding these issues and organize individuals to act as appropriate to advance (or quash) said bills.
