Description
The Brinton 1704 House Museum is a restored Quaker home located in Delaware County near West Chester, Pennsylvania, and is a designated National Historic Landmark. The 1704 House is operated as a historic museum and is open for public tours on Saturdays and Sundays from May 1 to October 31.
The House was built in 1704 in Pennsylvania Colony by William Brinton, Jr., who moved to the American Colonies in 1684 with his parents to escape religious persecution of Quakers in England. Today, his descendants own and operate the house museum, and have dedicated the site to expanding our understanding of the local community and history.
