Wagging Dog Rescue (WDR) is looking for a volunteer (non-paid) to help us maintain our WordPress site to attract donors and potential adopters.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Updating and maintaining our existing WordPress website, including content updates, visual enhancements, landing page creation on a project basis
Create graphics and code to adhere to style and the WDR brand
Testing and troubleshooting pages
Troubleshooting server/hosting issues
Troubleshooting responsive code issues
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent understanding of WordPress
Strong understanding of and experience with Elegant Themes, preferably experience with Divi builder.
WordPress database structure knowledge.
Knowledge of HTML and CSS; we have some custom modules so must be comfortable modifying HTML and CSS directly.
Ability to troubleshoot problems with or add features to pre-existing and or pre-made themes.
Understanding of the latest web standards and trends.
Good eye for design to create something appropriate to the target audience.
Experience editing and resizing photos.

Wagging Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization striving to help as many dogs as possible get through Southern California's shelters and find the perfect forever family. We are an all volunteer group of passionate animal advocates, owners and rescuers dedicated to improving animal welfare and restoring the unwanted family pet to his rightful place in a responsible home. All of our adoptable dogs are in a private foster home with a loving caregiver who guides them through their transition from a stressful past to a permanent and well-deserved future. We promote responsible pet ownership, firm leadership, spay and neuter... and most of all, ADOPTION.
