My New Red Shoes helps homeless and low-income children look and feel confident as they start the school year by providing them with the gift of new clothing and shoes. Founded in 2006, My New Red Shoes has impacted the lives of more than 55,000 homeless and low-income children.
Warehouse volunteers will assist in:
-Processing, barcoding and scanning weekly shoe donations
-Sorting shoes by size and gender
-Helping maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
This is a once a month volunteer opportunity with a three month commitment. Volunteers must be available to work one two-hour shift during warehouse hours (M-F, 9 am-6pm), once a month and attend an initial one hour training session.

Description
Children living in poverty confront many hardships, but the stress and impact of hot having their basic needs met is consistently cited by researchers, educators, and child welfare advocates as a major barrier to children's healthy development and success in school. By mobilizing resources and advocating for children and families experiencing economic hardship, MNRS actively works to reduce the impact of income inequality. Since 2006, MNRS has connected more than 100,000 local children and their families to resources and supports that boost quality of life, provide stability, strengthen well-being, and cultivate a sense of belonging.
