Grace Hospice is currently seeking volunteers in Brookfield (and the surrounding area) to provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families experiencing end of life. Any time you are able and willing to give is greatly appreciated as a large majority of our patients are homebound and often alone. Most volunteers are matched with a patient 1:1 and visits occurs 1x/week for about 30-60 minutes.
Your compassionate nature and committed spirit are needed. Our volunteers offer companionship to patients and support to caregivers. Prior experience is NOT required. We will provide a comprehensive training/orientation program that offers you the opportunity to better understand the role of the volunteer and the philosophy behind hospice.
The added support during this transitional time in our patient's and their family's lives can have a deeply profound and everlasting impact. Sharing your time and warm presence is truly an immeasurable gift. Please considering being a part of our mission and sharing yourself with a patient who is living in the last phase of their life.
