Help us celebrate another year of transforming the lives of adults, children and veterans with disabilities, by volunteering for the Tales & Tails Gala. Canine Companions for Independence(r) is the most highly acclaimed assistance dog organization in the United States and our unique and proven Team Training sets us apart by ensuring the match between dog and human is powerful and long lasting. Volunteering for the gala is a fun way to support Canine Companions, utilize your talents, meet new friends and have fun while giving back.
Canine Companions for Independence(r) is the most highly acclaimed assistance dog organization in the United States and our unique and proven Team Training sets us apart by ensuring the match between dog and human is powerful and long lasting. Canine Companions has placed more than 5,400 assistance dogs since our founding in 1975. It’s your generous support that allows us to offer highly trained assistance dogs and a lifetime of support at absolutely no charge to people with disabilities.
Food & Beverage
Lunch and dinner is provided to volunteers. Please note that the bars located in the event spaces are for guest only.
Parking
As a volunteer you will receive complimentary parking during the event.
Dress Code
Comfortable shoes are a must. We ask that volunteers wear a white shirt and black pants or skirt.

There are approximately 64 million Americans living with a disability. Canine Companions is a national non-profit organization that provides expertly trained service dogs and a lifetime of follow-up services - completely free of charge - to children, adults and veterans with disabilities so they can lead lives with greater independence.
Headquartered in Santa Rosa, CA, Canine Companions is the largest non-profit provider of service dogs, and is recognized worldwide for the excellence of its dogs, and the quality and longevity of the matches it makes between dogs and people. The result is a life full of increased independence and loving companionship.
