Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) are one of the most underrepresented demographic groups in our democracy. In a time when our community is under direct attack by the current administration - especially immigrants and working people - we must mobilize to win just representation for our community and to advance immigrant rights, worker rights and racial justice.

The Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance and Institute for Asian Pacific American Leadership and Advancement are taking part in a national effort to strengthen our democracy by registering and mobilizing voters in the AAPI community.

We will begin our voter engagement efforts with a kick off event on National Voter Registration Day (NVRD), Tuesday September 26th from 5:30pm-8:30pm at the Eden Center in Falls Church, VA. We hope to engage with thousands of new and potential voters this election season, but we can’t do it without your help.

Are you interested in empowering the AAPI community to make change in the 2017 and 2018 elections? If so, join us for National Voter Registration Day! To sign up to volunteer, contact Eddie Junsay, at junsay.edward@gmail.com or (510) 384-8144. Once you sign up, Eddie will contact you with more information including the details of your volunteer shift.
