We are looking for volunteers that can commit at least one day a week to doing 2 or more hours of volunteer work!! This position has room for growth!! Volunteer duties include; checking references for potential adopters, posting about our available animals to social media, creating flyers posters etc, distributing flyers and helping out at events (Saturdays for about 5 hours). This is a great opportunity as we are a close knit community and are always looking for new ideas, collaborations etc.! If you have any skills you believe you can help with please let us know!!! We rely on volunteers to help us and hope to welcome you to our rescue soon!
IN OUR HANDS RESCUE, INC., a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization incorporated in the State of New York, began in New York City in 2007, where we continue to focus our rescue efforts. In 2008, In Our Hands Rescue expanded to assist needy animals anywhere, regardless of zipcode.
In order to best assure the animal's continued welfare, even after leaving our direct supervision, In Our Hands Rescue adheres to strict standards of care, temporary foster placement and permanent placement.

The mission of In Our Hands Rescue (IOHR) is to prevent the needless suffering, neglect, and euthanasia of pets from around the United States through an efficient, effective, and adopter-focused foster program and eventually a brick and mortar kennel.
Description
In Our Hands Rescue is currently made up of mostly volunteers and network of fosters who open their homes to animals in need. We successfully adopt over 1000 animals in the past couple of years. We rescue abused, abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, and homeless animals. Mostly from the Southern states, and most recently from Egypt.
We are all volunteers, the more volunteers the more animals we can save and get forever homes.
