Live Wire Radio is seeking volunteers for our debut SLC show! Duties are primarily pre-show (ticket scanning, ushering, ...) and volunteers each receive free admission to enjoy the show after it starts! It is not required but we're happy to have help pack up after the show as well!

Live Wire is a weekly one-hour variety show with a modern twist. It blends music from up-and-coming artists, original sketch comedy, spoken word, and interviews with writers, filmmakers, comedians, and people who think cool thoughts. Live Wire pairs the shared experience of theater with the intimacy of radio to connect communities. Guests will include Olympian Picabo Street, author Mark Sundeen, journalist Scott Carrier, and musical guest Sammy Brue.

Join Utah Humanities and the City Library for a live recording of PRI’s Live Wire with Luke Burbank.

Event Details are available at: http://www.livewireradio.org/live#2411

This event is made possible with the support of The City Library, Utah Humanities, KUER and KRCL.

About LIVE WIRE RADIO INC

Location:

Mission Statement

Live Wire's mission is to harness the intimacy of the theater experience and the power of the public airwaves to enliven, inspire & engage audiences - connecting communities through live music and performance, unpredictable conversation, and original comedy. We believe life is filled with inspired people doing fascinating and sometimes ridiculous things. We want to introduce you to those people. We believe artists are critically important to the world, and should be rewarded for their work. We believe "culturally relevant" and "funny" aren't mutually exclusive. We believe that through the shared experience of live theater and the intimacy of radio, we can tell great stories, introduce new ideas, spark conversations, and hopefully, elicit a belly laugh or two.

Description

Live Wire is radio variety for the attention span challenged.
