A 76 year old man living with ALS is looking for someone to visit him once a week for about an hour. He enjoys poker, reading, and politics so those would all be possible conversation topics. He delights in pushing people’s buttons so the best match for him would be someone who loves a spirited debate. Painting is another one of this man’s passions so it would be an added bonus if someone would be willing to get out and set up his painting supplies while they’re there.

What is ALS?
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.
How does The ALS Association help?
We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
