ORGANIZATION: Orange Literacy

  • 3 people are interested

I am looking for a volunteer to tutor a very beginning English (ESL) class of 3-10 adult students from all over the world. The class will be from 11am-12:30pm every Monday and Wednesday in the Orange Literacy office (2nd floor of Carr Mill Mall). It will begin in mid-October and run indefinitely. Interested tutors should be willing to commit at least 6 months to volunteering. Tutors prepare their own lessons, but we provide initial training, materials & resources, and ongoing support. Some ESL teaching experience is preferred but not required for this position.

This is a great volunteer opportunity for anyone with some time in the middle of the day who wants to help immigrants and refugees!

Please email me (Tyler Gilmore) at tgilmore@orangeliteracy.org with any questions or to express interest. Thanks!
