Help us rescue produce from a great local market! We will deliver it to a social services organization's food pantry, located at 7708 New Utrecht Ave in Bensonhurst, where it will be distributed to the food insecure population they serve. This event will last about 45 minutes.
This event needs volunteers 7 days a week! Offer as little or as much of your time as you'd like.
**This rescue has an average of 100 pounds per pick up, so a car is preferred! Round up some buddies, drive on over, and help us feed those who will be so grateful for your effort and time.

Description
Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) is a nonprofit organization committed to fighting food insecurity and preventing wasted food. We have cultivated a network of dedicated food rescuers who bring food directly from our food donors to nonprofit recipients, letting neighbors help neighbors while reaping the environmental and economic benefits of reducing wasted food. Founded in 2013, our simple, but elegant model has saved over 8 million pounds of food since our inception.
