Race Info:

We're excited to announce Dallas is the fifth lucky city in the U.S. to be selected to join the Global Energy movement on September 24th, along with 36 other cities worldwide. Whether you're a competitive runner or looking to come out with your family and friends to enjoy a morning of fun and games, this race is for you! The Global Energy Race offers a chip timed 10K & 5K route for those runners looking to challenge themselves or untimed 5K option perfect for those looking to walk this scenic course with their friends. Come out and enjoy the city views, flat trail, music, games, giveaways, Osito and much more!

Course Info:

The 2017 Dallas Global Energy 5K / 10K starts and finishes at Klyde Warren Park, a green space nestled between Uptown and the Dallas Arts District. The course route takes runners through portions of Uptown as they run past the American Airlines Center, Home of the Mavericks and the Stars. After crossing into the Design District, 5K runners will turn back towards downtown while 10K runners will connect onto the Trinity Strand Trail. 10K Runners continue on this urban trail through the Design and Medical Districts before turn around to head back to Klyde Warren Park.

Founded in 1982, the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a Dallas nonprofit hunger relief organization that distributes donated, purchased and prepared foods through a network of more than 262 Food Assistance Partners in 13 counties. As a member of Feeding America, we support the nutritional needs of children, families and seniors through education, advocacy and strategic partnerships.

We strive to be the best nonprofit. Including access provided through SNAP application services, NTFB provides access to nearly 175,000 nutritious meals every day. ReThink Hunger is our three-year initiative to provide healthier food, develop new ways to extend our reach and improve the lives of those we serve.
