May Peace Prevail on Earth. Join us Saturday, September 23rd at 10AM at WorldBeat Center and Centro Cultural de la Raza for Celebration of Awakening. Join us as we celebrate International Peace Day with Jigme Lingpa Center.
A day of Celebration for World Peace at beautiful Balboa Park, a free event for all ages
Program
-Meditation guided by Lama Lhanang Rinpoche
-Public Forum for Peace -WorldBeat Cultural Center
-Religious leaders will be exchanging ideas and views of Peace
-Kids activities: Peace Letters
-Dances from around the world
Volunteer Departments:
- Event Assistants: Set up and/or break down event, assist event staff
- One World Cafe (kitchen): Prep, serve, and sell food & drinks at inside and outside food booths
- Maintenance : Set up, upkeep of event grounds, break down - recycling, trash, clean up.
- video and photographers: Must have experience
- Stage Manager: must have experience
- Hospitality: artest check in, upkeeping back stage, tending to artist needs

As a non-profit multi-cultural arts organization we are dedicated to promoting, presenting and preserving the African Diaspora and Indigenous cultures of the world through Music, Art, Dance, Multi-Media Arts, Education, and STEAM Research. We are located in beautiful Balboa Park in the heart of San Diego, California. By raising consciousness, the WorldBeat Cultural Center promotes peace within our San Diego community. We provide on-going programs and services that nurture the spirit of children, the elderly and everyone in between. Our main goal is to create unity within diversity.
