Give thanks for forests and help plant native plants with the Green Kirkland Partnership. Volunteers will spend the morning participating in a mix of restoration activities which may include removing non-native invasive species like English ivy and Himalayan blackberry, spreading mulch over cleared areas, and planting native trees, shrubs and ground covers. No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us!

Mission Statement
Our Mission is to restore and maintain healthy forested and natural parklands by building a supportive community that works together to protect Kirkland’s valuable natural resources for current and future generations. Achieving this involves training and supporting volunteers in restoration activities.
Description
The Green Kirkland Partnership is an alliance between the City of Kirkland, nonprofit partners, businesses and the community to restore almost 500 acres of natural parkland in the City. The majority of the restoration efforts are accomplished by our dedicated volunteers. These volunteers may join us just one time or volunteer again and again. It takes everyone to restore our natural areas!
