The National MS Society is hosting our 31stAnnual Bike MS: Peach Ride downtown LaGrange will be acting as our home-base throughout the weekend.
Why do we need drivers?
The safety of our cyclist is our number one priority. Our Safety & Gear Drivers (SAG) are part of our safety team along the route.
We provide the vehicle & the gear you provide the support. As a SAG Driver you will be assigned to a section of the route where you will roam the route to ensure the safety of our cyclist. Throughout the day you will be in communication with Net Control, Rest Stops, & MSC.
Often you are called upon to transport a cyclist and their bike to either a Rest Stop or back to our campus. Moderate lifting may be required.
What is required?
- Driving a Passenger Van (or Mini Van) provided to you by the Society
- Participation in short online safety training & course
- Background check w/DMV check
- Proof of insurance
- MUST be comfortable with directions & using a map/GPS

The mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is to mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS.
Description
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.
Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers three key fundraising activities: The Bike MS, Walk MS and Challenge Walk MS. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
